If your smoothies contain a lot of fruit, try our unsweetened Natural flavour.
If you want to add a bit of flavour to your smoothies, try our delicious Vanilla or Chocolate flavours.

It is not uncommon to order multiple flavours. For example, one Natural flavour for your protein smoothies and one Chocolate flavour for your protein shakes.
If you are ordering for multiple people, you might need to order more than one flavour to cover everyones dietary needs and flavour preferences.

We suggest ordering the pouch size which you can consume within 2-3 months, then reorder.
Many people order multiple jar sizes. For example, one 2.5kg pouch for home and one 1kg pouch to take to work.
We aim to provide around 12 months best before date.
We don't add preservatives or highly processed filler ingredients to extend the shelf life of our products, like other protein powders do.
Think of Grass Fed Whey as fresh and natural (not short dated). E.g. fresh, pure fruit juice has a short best before date, whereas cordial bottles have a long shelf life becuase they are highly processed.
Also, 1kg pouches typically last our customers 2 to 3 weeks at 2 servings per day (33 servings). Our serious users go through 1kg pouches in a week.
If you are concerned you will still have protein left in 6 months, it means you are consuming less than 1 serving PER WEEK, which is of no nutritional value whatsoever.

You may consume the protein after the best before date passes, at your own discretion (look, smell and taste it first).
Yes, all Mirrabooka Protein pouches and tubs contain a scoop inside.
One full level scoop holds 30g of protein, which is the recommended serving.
For your ease of locating it, the scoop is placed on top of the powder before the pouch or tub is sealed.
If you receive your pouch or tub and can not see the scoop, it may have settled below the surface during shipping.
*If you misplace your scoop, 2 reasonably heaped dessert spoons will provide you with a 30g serving.

Please note: Our Grass Fed Whey protein is a food product and can not be returned for change of mind if you open the pouch.
If you are still uncertain about trying a flavour, we recommend selecting the smaller 1kg pouch to try it, then increase your jar size on your following order.
Your protein will have a minimum 6 month best before date- typically 8+ months. We suggest ordering a container size that you can consume within 2-3 months, then reorder.

The amount of protein you require per serving and per day depends on several factors, including your weight, your frequency and intensity of exercise and your primary body composition goal.
We have created a free protein calculator so that you can find out what amount of protein is optimal for you.
The best way to consume protein is to spread it as evenly as possible over the entire day. This includes your breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
This way your body is constantly repairing and rebuilding from your protein consumption.
Don't worry too much about having to consume protein immediately post exercise- instead focus on reaching your daily protein intake goals to get the most benefit.

Yes, Mirrabooka Protein comes from growth hormone free cows.
Our Natural Whey Protein is pure, unflavoured whey protein powder. It does not contain any added flavour or sweetener.
Grass Fed Whey protein is a whey protein concentrate (WPC), which is a technical term referring to the level of filtering the milk has undergone to achieve the protein content.
Grass Fed Whey contains a small amount of naturally occurring fat and carbs. These are nutrients from the milk that support human brain function, gut health and immune support.
Whey protein isolate (WPI) is further processed to remove these nutrients from the whey.
Why would we want to filter them out? We want the health benefits to keep our brain and body functioning healthily.
Instead of removing these nutrients from our whey protein, we want to focus on reducing the amounts of added sugar and artificial additives we consume through highly processed food and drink from the supermarkets.
The low fat/ high sugar/ artificial sweetener diet is the root of many of today's health problems.

No, we currently do not supply a whey protein isolate. All WPI products are imported (not manufactured in Australia) and there are global supply issues.
Australian dairy has some of the best standards and quality in the world.
All whey protein comes from cow's milk; milk solids are separated first for cheesemaking, leaving liquid whey which is filtered and dehydrated to make whey powder.
Grass Fed Whey is not certified organic.
Australian dairy has some of the highest standards in the world, and Australian dairy products are in high demand the world over.
Yes, skim milk is an excellent choice of beverage to mix with your protein.
Our protein tastes great when mixed with water, skim and full cream milk, or milk alternatives such as almond milk.
Mirrabooka Protein is cold soluble, meaning it dissolves in cool to cold liquids.
To serve hot:
Shake, mix or blend Mirrabooka Protein into a cold liquid, then heat.

Our Grass Fed Whey protein is a good source of calcium from a natural food. It contains on average 425mg of calcium per 100g, or 127.5mg per 30g serving.

Mirrabooka Protein uses pure organic stevia leaf extract.
We do not use the highly processed consumer grade stevia sweetener product found on supermarket shelves.
Our stevia is pure stevia - it does not contain any additives.
Mirrabooka products DO NOT contain erythritol.
*There are some alarmist articles found on the internet, talking about how Stevia causes health problems- they are talking about the erythritol and other additives found in highly processed sweeteners, not in pure stevia itself.
Our flavoured protein powders contain a small amount of organic stevia leaf extract (stevia rebaudioside) from the stevia rebaudiana plant (our Natural Protein flavour option is unflavoured and unsweetened).
There is a difference between an ingredient being extracted vs highly processed;
Highly processed means something that has been added to and transformed so that it is unrecognisable from its original state. Consumer grade stevia available for purchase in the supermarket is highly processed (it contains mostly other ingredients).
Extraction is the removal of the active ingredient. Our organic stevia leaf extract is extracted.
We use a tiny amount of organic stevia leaf extract to make a higher purity protein powder, so you can get the most nutrition out of every serving, so you can achieve your health and athletic goals faster.
The best before label is located underneath the container.
Mirrabooka Protein has a 'best before' date, not an 'expiry date'.
This means that under ideal conditions, if you were not able to finish your jar of protein before the best before date you may continue to consume it- using your own discretion.
We do not sell Mirrabooka Protein in sample sizes. Our smallest size is our 1kg jar which contains approximately 33 standard servings.
Yes, Mirrabooka Protein comes complete with a scoop inside the container.
One level scoop holds 30g of protein.
The scoop can be found just under the jar cap. Sometimes scoops can settle below the surface of the protein during transportation.
If in the rare event your protein jar does not come with a scoop, please reach out to us by the form below and we will ship you a new one ASAP!
Mirrabooka Organic Super Greens have a pH of between 7 and 8. It is a slightly alkaline, natural source of nutrients, so you can achieve your health and athletic goals faster.
Mirrabooka Grass Fed Whey Protein does NOT contain any casein- our protein is 100% whey protein.
FYI- Milk contains two types of protein: casein and whey protein. Casein is a slow release protein; meaning it takes much longer to digest than whey protein. Some people do not tolerate casein well.
Whey protein is fast release protein; it is digested quickly.
Mirrabooka Grass Fed Whey Protein is 100% whey protein.
Mirrabooka Grass Fed Whey Protein flavours have a sodium content between 108mg and 111mg per 30g serving. This is 5.5% of the recommended daily sodium intake for adults.
The sodium is naturally occurring- not an added ingredient.
The Australian government recommends adults eat around 2,000 mg of sodium per day (equivalent to about 5,000 mg or 5 g of salt or 1 teaspoon).
No. Mirrabooka protein, or any Mirrabooka products, do not contain any preservatives.
The Mocha Latte flavour variant of our Grass Fed Whey contains real instant specialty coffee.
Yes, it naturally contains caffeine from the real coffee- 25mg per 30g serving, which is about half a single espresso shot.
We do NOT add caffeine as an isolated ingredient to our products.
Our Grass Fed Whey is grass fed, Australian, 100% whey protein.
It's all about the ingredients list and nutrition information.
We communicate that Grass Fed Whey is 100% whey protein so that you are aware you are purchasing and consuming the purest, cleanest whey protein available.
(Not some highly processed blend containing lesser quality protein sources and filler ingredients.)
The cows that produce Mirrabooka Protein are Australian, grass fed and pasture raised.
This may include hay and silage during dry summer months.
Grain is fed to cattle in the Australian beef industry to fatten them up.
It's commonly used as stock feed outside the Victorian dairy belt (e.g. central NSW and QLD) where the climate does not produce adequate grass.
It's also used in factory farming overseas where there are too many cows crammed in a lot foradequate grass to grow and the animals feed from troughs.
Happily, no! Grass Fed Whey is not from 'grass finished' cows.
'Grass finished' is a term from the butchering industry, referring to cattle stock that are fed grass up until they are slaughtered for meat.
This term does not apply at all to the dairy industry, where the cows are alive and healthy, feeding in grassy pastures.
The lesser quality alternative protein sources; collagen and gelatin; may use the term grass finished, as these products are chemically processed from the leftover fat layers of slaughtered cows skins.
Allergen and special dietary questions
Our whey protein is ultra filtered; the liquid whey is separated from the milk solids using a filter, not enzymes or rennet.
There are no gelatin, pork or alcohol ingredients in our whey protein.
Our whey protein is not certified Halal, which may be necessary for your special requirements.

Our flavoured Grass Fed Whey variants contain a small amount of organic stevia leaf extract as a natural sweetener.
Stevia is a low-glycemic sweetener and should have not effect a person's blood sugar levels.
Our Natural flavour variant contains no sweetener whatsoever.
We keep our products as clean and natural as possible, with minimal ingredients!
Our protein contains around 2g of sugar per 30g serving (it varies slightly depending on the flavour). The sugar is mostly lactose which naturally occurs in the protein from the milk.

Trace amounts of lecithin are added by the dairy during processing to assist with mixability.

Whey protein is not a part of the A1/A2 milk debate.
A1 and A2 milk marketing refers ONLY to a (debated) difference in the casein protein in the milk.
Whey and casein proteins are different proteins separated from cows milk.
Whey protein contains no casein protein- so no A1 or A2 protein.
Whilst whey protein contains no A1/A2 protein - A2 milk does contain whey protein.
Whey protein is the most bioavailable, complete dietary protein source for human needs.

A1 and A2 protein are like red and green apples. People argue over the health benefits of each colour of apple.
Whey protein is a banana. There are no red or green apples in a banana.
Mirrabooka Protein is natural, pure and has the absolute minimum number and quantity of added ingredients.
There are five FODMAPs associated with triggering IBS (fructose, fructans, galactans, polyols and lactose) which are commonly added ingredients in highly processed foods and highly processed protein powders.
While Mirrabooka protein doesn't contain four out of the five, it does contain around 2g per 30g serving of lactose, which is naturally occurring from the milk.
Whether Mirrabooka Protein is suitable for you depends on your experience with what triggers your IBS symptoms and how sensitive you are to lactose in everything you eat.

With your needs in mind, we aim to ship all orders received before 3pm AEST (Melb/Sydney time) on the same day.

We ship orders via Australia Post Parcel Post. Australia Post will provide you with up to date tracking and delivery notifications to your email and/or mobile.
Australia Post delivery times are typically 2-4 business days for Vic/NSW/SA and 3-7 business days for QLD, WA and the NT.
Currently Mirrabooka Protein only ships to Australian addresses within the Australia Post network.
We do not currently ship to New Zealand, ASIA, the United States, the UK, Europe etc.
Rest assured! Your order may contain multiple parcels shipped individually.

No worries at all, mistakes happen.
The good news is that AusPost allows the recipient (that's you!) to easily redirect parcels for free if they haven't already been delivered. It's a common and convenient solution!

It is your responsibility to read these messages and stay informed about your delivery, so that you, or someone on your behalf, can receive your parcel.
It is also your responsibility to provide your best delivery address where you (or someone on your behalf) will receive your delivery.
